A Walters Group Company with a Focus on Renewable Energy

The Walters Group was first established in 1982 by Gweirydd (Dai) Walters and initially focused on plant hire, civil engineering, bulk earthworks and opencast activities.

The group activities have diversified in the last 10 years into environmental engineering, demolition, property development, renewable energy and leisure. For example, in 2008 Walters Group developed the Ffos Las Racecourse near Trimsaran in Carmarthenshire, the first new National Hunt racecourse to be built in the UK for 80 years.

The Group currently has an annual turnover of £50m and employs up to 500 staff, from its Headquarters based in Hirwaun.
