Pennant Walters is proposing to construct up to 12 additional wind turbines – producing up to 36MW of energy – to the west of the company’s existing turbines at Pant y Wal and Fforch Nest.
Ahead of submitting any planning application we are planning to hold an information day to offer the local community an opportunity to find out more about this project. Members of our project team will be available to answer any questions.
As well as producing clean, renewable energy the turbines will, in conjunction with the existing turbines, contribute to a Community Benefit Fund linked to the amount of energy they generate. This fund recently paid for the major refurbishment of the playground of a local school, including the installation of new modern equipment, which will benefit pupils for many years to come. On a long term basis money from the fund will be allocated to other landmark projects in the locality with input from community members
The information day will be held on:
- Thursday, February 13th 2014, 10am – 8pm at Ogmore Valley Life Centre, Aber Road, Ogmore Vale, CF32 7AJ.
Please come along if you would like to discuss any aspect of the proposals with the Pennant Walters project team.
